Thank you for this story. I remember those attacks but it is amazing to get your story and your perspective. Your girls are so adorable and 8 is such a wonderful age!

A chance encounter that really changed your perspective: The first day of college (1986), in my first class (electrical engineering 101), I sat by the only other two women in the room. Those two women have changed my life so many times over the years. Most recently, about 15 years ago one of them gave me a bird feeder which sparked my interest in birds and nature. But I could write a book about how they have changed my life and always for the better.

There have been so many others - thanks for giving me this lovely thought to ponder. Really, almost everything in life is a chance encounter, isn't it?

What lovely ladies! And I love the image of you three sitting together in Electrical Engineering 101 and the things that happened after your encounter.

Everything being a chance encounter - I believe it; but I’m also a believer in Karma because of my study of Buddhism. This alchemy between the sense of change and inevitability - I find truly fascinating.

Yes - everything is chance and I like to call them "god winks". Synchronicities with spirit infused.

Hi Vasant. This was beautifully written. I loved your story of the taxi driver. It's horrible when explosions happen in your city. I lived in London for many years and many terrorist incidents happened in that time including the Al-Qaeda attacks of 7th July 2005.

P.S. Your girls look so lovely and fun.

Thanks so much Cali. I remember the explosions on the tube. London is a city very close to my heart as well.
