Dearest Yet Untitler,
My twins turned 10 this weekend, and I spent yesterday reviewing ten years of photographs for this instalment. I knew I was going to be busy doing birthday stuff, so a "best-of” photo dump seemed to be a suitable option for this week, given my archivist inclinations and the fact that I’m constantly photographing them.
But - it wasn’t easy. Isolating 10 (ish) telling shots for 10 years amid terabytes and terabytes of documentation.
I must say - I don’t regret the documentation. It’s a record of moments that I’m very grateful to have on record as a parent. It’s all eminently Instagram-able, but not necessarily Yet-Untitled-able, if you know what I mean 😄. I wondered what filter I should use to make the approach something more…telling?
I didn’t go for the one photo for every year approach (though that would have been a good Craig Mod-ian rigour-of-process kind of thing to do). Instead, I went for photos that, amid the folders and folders of documentation, stuck with me; and, to my mind, give the idea of what 10 years have been like with these two dumplings of blood, nerves, bones, laughs, sulks, tantrums, caring, friendship, tears and joy in our midst.
It all began with the idea of them. Ananya and Aahana.
And then, they were here!
Hope you enjoy this short, photo-heavy instalment.
Lots of love

What an adorable time capsule!🥹
Happy birthday A&A. What a fantastic curation. I am so glad our father documented our ordinary moments growing up, with no regard for the 36 print limit back in the day of reels that meant something totally different from now! Reading about your struggle of terabytes in this age feels par for the course, you father of the year you! May they have a healthy, happy, long life full of laughter and learning. How precious a gift it is to have mindful, loving parents! May you continue to grow in your shoes as one and may your girls grow as people basking in the light of that love! Thank you for sharing this with us!
